November 22, 1963 President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas Texas. One of our most sacred artifacts is this piece of the leather upholstery from JFK’s limo from the Texas trip stained with the President’s blood. After the assassination the Presidential limo was sent to Ohio to be cleaned and updated. The leather upholstery was taken out after attempts to clean the blood failed. Vaughn Fergunson was the Ford Motor company representative for the White House. He was in charge of the limo during it’s renovation. He saved a piece of the blood stained upholstery.
