November 24, 1963 Jack Ruby a nightclub owner shot Lee Harvey Oswald the accused assassin of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas Texas. Pictured is the original shell casing from Jack Ruby’s .38 revolver that killed Oswald. Also pictured is Jack Ruby’s note book that was in his pocket when he killed Oswald the blue sticker is a Warren Commission/trial evidence number. From The Gettysburg Museum Of History’s collection. The shell casing was obtained from Henry Wade Dallas D.A. Ruby’s book was returned to his brother along with his other items. President Johnson issued an order allowing Warren Commission evidence to be returned in attempt to gather more evidence that might not come to light. Ruby’s brother sold many of his items. We also have Ruby’s suit he wore to his trial and several other items.
