RARE Original WWII German Deutches Rotes Kreuz (German Red Cross) LARGE FLAG BROUGHT HOME BY A U.S. Veteran Certified. The DRK, “Deutsches Rotes Kreuz” (German Red Cross), a voluntary civil assistance organization originally instituted in 1864, was officially acknowledged by the Geneva Convention in 1929. In December 1937 it gained status as a legally recognized organization by the NSDAP. As with other essential services in Third Reich Germany, it came under control of the NSDAP in late 1938 under the auspices of the Ministry of the Interiorโs Social Welfare Organization. Originally introduced in August of 1935. An uncommon but highly attractive flag featuring an aggressive eagle perched atop the red cross. The down swept wings and mobile swastika across its chest only add to the intimidating image. Still with its original suspension hardware, this example is reinforced against wind damage at all 4 corners. Measuring 44″ x 44″ this is a nice unquestionably authentic piece of the 3rd Reich. Obtained from the family of a U.S. Veteran who brought it home.ย Good ย condition with some wear and storage age ย and expected issues. ย ย 100% Guaranteed to be authentic Complete museum documentation (COA) Provided.
