VERY RARE AND HISTORIC Rudolf Hess Signed (Hand Autographed) Book Mit Hitler im Westen. Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. RUDOLF HESS (1894-1987) Nazi German Deputy Fuhrer and second in command after Goring, Hess was one of Hitler’s closest confidantes and friends. In an unauthorized peace mission, Hess flew a German fighter to England and surrendered, purportedly attempting to ally Germany with Great Britain against Russia. His mission, of course, failed and Hess was imprisoned at Spandau where he was found hanged in 1987. Rudolf Hess Signed Book Mit Hitler im Westen. Hess gifted this to a friend with the printed inscription which translates to “As a permanent reminder of the year in which Adolf Hitler won the greatest victory in world history. Christmas 1940, Rudolf Hess.” Signed in fountain pen. The book was published in 1940 by Zeitgeschichte Verlag in Berlin. The professional photographs were taken by Heinrich Hoffmann, the official photographer of the NSDAP. The book is about the Blitzkrieg against France and the defeat of the British Expeditionary Forces at Dunkirk. First edition hardcover.
