Scarce Original WWII German RKB 25 YEAR MEMBER’S PIN. (Mitgliednadel) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. The DRKB, “Deutscher Reichskriegerbund” (German National-veterans’-league), was formed during WWI, and was based on the DKB, “Deutscher Kriegerbund,” originally formed after the Franco-Prussian war in the 1870s. By 1936 it had incorporated most of the varied veterans’ associations into it, and was itself re-named the NS-RKB, “Nationalsozialistische-Reichskriegerbund,” in 1938. A silver washed and enameled, 32mm x 22mm, lapel pin comprised of a silver washed oak-leaf wreath encompassing a silhouette of the Kyffhäuser monument. To the top of the pin is the number “25” in silver on a black enamel, bordered in silver, circular base. The reverse is marked with “Ges. Gesch”. Its pin is intact.
