RARE! Original German SA (Brown Shirts) Uniform Certified. Brown was to become the official color of the N.S.D.A.P. and S.A. by circumstance rather than design. A large stockpile of discounted, surplus WWI tropical brown shirts and fabric, intended for wear in East Africa, were located in Austria in 1924 and purchased by the Nazis as a temporary measure to bring uniformity of dress to their party members. In November of 1926 the brown shirt was officially introduced, and retained, as the basic uniform item for the N.S.D.A.P. and S.A., and was eventually adopted by other political organizations such as the H.J., D.A.F., and the N.S.K.K.ย  A Light tan cotton twill construction shirt with a five-button front closure. Shirt features two pleated, patch, breast pockets with scalloped flaps with removable buttons. Sleeves have five tapering darts and fold back French cuffs with dual removable button closure. Darted horizontal waistband with six stitched in, pebbled steel, belt support hooks and single cotton belt loop to reverse center. Original German WWII SA NCO Scharfรผhrer Brown Shirt Tunic with Armband. This is a great example of a Sturmabteilung โ€œBrown Shirtโ€ for the rank of Scharfรผhrer, or Squad Leader. The tunic has a sewn-in armband & correct single shoulder board with red & white piping. The collar tabs indicate the district & rank, this district being 6/13. The tunic retains all of its buttons as well as all belt hooks which still retain their tags on the interior. There is some moth tracking on the collar tabs as shown. The interior retains its size markings and an old washed out RZM tag. The tunic is very good++.ย  Nice example.ย ย 100% Guaranteed to be authentic Complete Museum documentation (COA) Provided.
