Original WWII 28.5″ German Rail Road Eagle Removed From A Train Car  Certified. Reichsbahn Nazi Railway Eagle 28.5 or 72.5 cm” by J&Z. Rare maker and rare large size. The eagle was found in the 1950’s during excavations near the old Hauptkwartier in Oisterwijk in the Netherlands. This piece has been in the same collection ever since it was found decades ago. The person put a coat of matte gunmetal paint overtop the front to make it more presentable, however the reverse remains untouched. There is pitting and corrosion which is to be expected, however the majority of the original details are in good shape. The decades old paint on the front can easily and safely be removed with a chemical free paint remover. I imagine if the paint is removed, the front will look very similar to the back side as far as the corrosion and buildup.  Priced according to condition. 100% guaranteed to be authentic.
