PAPERS PLEASE! A ย Group Of WWII Era NSDAP (NAZI) Papers And Identity Documents Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. The DRA, “Deutches Reichsportabzeichen” (German National-sport-badge), established the “Reichsjugendsportabzeichen” (National-youth-sport-badge) in 1925 for children under the age of 18. Awarded only in silver, it was extended to females in 1928, and a swastika was added to the badge in 1937. The award was discontinued in 1942. A 13cm x 20cm, sixteen page booklet with green-colored covers. To the front cover is “Leistungsbuch” (Achievement-book) and “Durchs Leben” (Through Life) separated by an illustration of the badge comprised of an oak-leaf wreath with “RJA” in stylized letters to its center with a mobile to the base of the wreath. To the inside of the front cover is a glued photograph of the recipient. Personal information is written to the spaces provided on the first page. To the second and third pages are spaces to record, twice yearly, weight, height, chest, arm and thigh measurements, spaces for the findings of the sports-doctor are to the forth and fifth pages, the sixth to ninth pages list the achievements, by year, in running, jumping, throwing, chin-ups and swimming while pages ten and eleven are entitled “Wettkampf-Erfolge” (Competition-results). The twelfth and thirteenth pages list when and where, with signatures, the five groupings of achievements were attained. The fourteenth page details the eleven regulations regarding the Reichsjugendabzeichen. The fifteenth page is the numbered award certificate. Also has another document for the same person. Scarce to find a female version.ย An outstanding lot! with lots of ย details and the personal information of the bearer. ย These are excellent for teachers and researchers. During de-Nazification much of this type of material like so many WWII documents was destroyed. ย in good used condition. Some loose pages, otherwise good!
