Adolf Hitler’s Personal  Large Cloth Formal “A.H.” Monogram Towel  “Liberated”   By A U.S. Solider Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. A very large heavy cotton blend cloth fancy towel with inlaid pattern and Adolf Hitler’s personal eagle and AH monogram. It has a red “Greek Key” pattern along the side. This is the type used by Hitler in his bathroom at the Berghof. This towel  measures 19″/36″ with a 1.5″ AH monogram. It is in excellent condition with no tears or stains. This tablecloth was most likely recovered in Hitler’s  basement bomb shelter of the Berghof. The Berghof  was Hitler’s home at the Obersalzberg Mountain near Berchtesgaden. This type with this design was only found at the Berghof (as far as we know) This towel  along with several other items was “liberated” in May 1945 by a U.S. Solider. A similar  type is documented in the book by Dr. Mark Griffith (see photos). Formal towels are EXTREEMLY RARE! This is only the 2nd one we have seen!
