Outstanding  Original WWII Era German Nazi Party Flag Decorated with the nick names of  U.S. Soldiers Who Captured It  Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History.  Original WWII Era German Nazi Party Flag Certified. A standard style   large Cloth   banner   type flag. Utilized by pretty much by all the organization of the Third Reich in one form or another. The swastika, (a Sanskrit word meaning “well being”), is an ancient symbol that was utilized in numerous diverse cultures and signified both the cycle of life and the sun. The swastika was also a Nordic rune and the pagan Germanic symbol for Thor, God of Adventurers.   In good condition single  sided large  46″/48″! standard cotton bunting style material with separate sewn white disk and screened swastika.  This was an unfinished factory center of a flag sewed to a red flag background. It says “Cologne 3/10/1945” So we assume it was picked up there.   A fantastic piece of WWII history  In good condition with Very minor storage wear   no fading   (see photos)   Excellent condition, great but used!  EXCELLENT CONDITION!  It does have a few small scuffs. This flag is A good quality version and one of the better sizes for the most   discriminating and cultivated collector. Even with the minor condition issues it   Overall a very collectible flag with lots of history Nice period used flag captured by a U.S. Veteran   and brought home as a war trophy. decorated with the nicknames of the soldiers and the names of the Officer’s who captured it.  This came from a solider in Battery D of  the 116th AAA Battalion who landed on Utah Beach in Normandy!
