Original WWII German Railroad Eagle Removed From A Train Car By A U.S. Veteran Certified. This is an excellent condition totally genuine German World War Two railroad eagle used to attach to the front of locomotives and box cars during the reign of the Third Reich. It measures 27.5 inches across and 13 inches tall which is generally referred to as a 27-inch eagle and a standard size for locomotive eagles. The  4 threaded mounting bolts were cut to remove the eagle, (see photos). The reverse is marked in the wing of the eagle with the maker mark. Do not get fooled by the many replicas being offered. This is a 100% Museum certified
