OUTSTANDING Original WWII M-42 Waffen SS Combat Helmet Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified

Original  WWII Waffen SS combat M-42 single decal helmet. This helmet has an stamped manufacturer’s code “ckl 64” indicating manufacture by Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG Thale/Harz, size 64 and a fantastic all original  liner (even has the original tie string) with complete chin strap. The leather is soft and has no issues! The helmet has some slight loss of it’s rough texture paint. The decal is outstanding, 100% authentic and  about 93% complete with a few small chips. This helmet has a fantastic been there combat used look but still excellent. This helmet came from a very old 40 plus year collection and was bought by that collector directly from a U.S. Veteran. This helmet was part of Gettysburg Museum Of History curator Erik Dorr’s PERSONAL COLLECTION! We decided to sell it because we just got another M-42 that we decided to keep instead.  Nice period used helmet captured by a U.S.   Veteran and brought home as a war trophy.
