OUTSTANDING Original German WWII DAF Deutsche Arbeitsopfer – Versorgung DAOV Ortsgruppe Augsburg Standard Flag

With the dissolution of all Free Trade Unions in Germany in May 1933 the Deutsche Arbeitsfront, (German Labor Front), was established to replace the unions and to educate the workers in industry and commerce for smooth and efficient operation of all labor in the Third Reich. In October 1934 the DAF was given official status as a sub-section of the NSDAP and in March 1936 it was recognized as an independent NSDAP affiliated association and granted control of its own monetary budget. The “DAOV” was for DEUTSCHE ARBEITSOPFER VERSORGUNG (German Work Victims Welfare).  Fantastic rare DAOV standard with heavy chainhstiched  embroidery. Represents a German World War Two Deutsche Arbeitsfront or German Labor Front organization which was part of the National Socialist trade union that supplanted independent unions once the NSDAPs had come to power in Germany. This origination in particular was the Deutsche Arbeitsopfer – Versorgung or DAOV from the Gau region which included Koln and Aachen. The referred to themselves as Ortsgruppe Augsburg. Stand is red wool with White relief and heavy embroidery with central swastika within a cogwheel/rays/oak leaves/acorns and “DAOV”. All on two white bordered 27″ diameter black cloth circles sewn to the red field. Scattered small patches of mothing. 2″ silver HIGH QUALITY BULLION fringe on three borders.  Measures 44″ x 50″. A large size  (we placed a helmet on it for size reference). Nice worn and used example showing the expected age and wear.  but overall very nice.  Outstanding  example, A RARE FLAG!.
