Original WWII German Luftwaffe (Airforce) OFFICERS BELT BUCKLE BY F.W. Assmann & Söhne Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. (Luftwaffe Gürtelschnalle für Offiziere). Constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, surrounding a central raised and bronzed Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, situated over a pebbled background, the reverse with two clips, one of which retains a loop, maker marked  measuring 58 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
