Original WWII German Luftwaffe (Airforce) M42 SINGLE DECAL HELMET. (Stahlhelm M42) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. Helmet retains about 95% of its rough textured Luftwaffe grey paint. Second pattern Luftwaffe eagle decal is also retained about 89%. All three liner retaining rivets intact. M31 tan leather liner is complete (almost mint) .  The reverse interior neck guard apron is lot number stamped, “2013” and the interior left side apron has stamped manufacturers code and size, “ET64”, indicating manufacture by Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG Thale/Harz, size 64.. Nice  helmet. You can see the dome stamp inside (see photos). One strap is still present but the buckle is gone. Shows the expected age, wear and use. The Veteran who brought this home thought it would be a good idea to apply a clear coat over the helmet to preserve it (could possibly be removed) Other that this and the slight loss of the decal the helmet is almost mint, the liner is MINT!    In good but used condition .
