Original WWII German Luftwaffe M42 SINGLE DECAL HELMET. (Stahlhelm M42) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. The stamped, sheet steel construction helmet retains some of its original paint showing some wear and field usage (some loss from poor storage) . The helmet looks like it was painted camoflage but most is lost. It has a reddish hue to it (priced accordingly). Eagle decal is about 90% complete.  All three liner retaining rivets are present . The interior is void of it’s  leather liner.  The interior reverse neck guard apron is lot number stamped but is not readable, and the interior left side apron is stamped where the manufacturers code and size is stamped but not readable I would estimate the  size as 64. Chinstrap is not present. The inside rim has the original soldier’s initials painted on it.  Shows the expected age, wear and use.  In good but used condition.
