Original WWII German Luftwaffe (Airforce) M40 SINGLE DECAL HELMET. (Stahlhelm M40) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. Helmet retains a good portion of its rough textured Luftwaffe grey paint. Second pattern Luftwaffe eagle decal is also retained about 95%. All three liner retaining rivets intact. M31 tan leather liner is complete but 3 of the finger are damaged (see photos) .  The reverse interior neck guard apron is lot number stamped, “404” and the interior left side apron has stamped manufacturers code and size, “Q66”, indicating manufacture by F.W. Quist, G.m.b.H. Esslingen,  size 66.. has a soldiers name inside but is not legible (see photo).  Nice untouched helmet.. Shows the expected age, wear and use.  In good but used condition .
