Original WWII German INFANTRY ASSAULT BADGE, Bronze, LAPEL PIN. (Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen Aufschlagnadel) Certified.  The Infantry Assault Badge was introduced on December 20TH 1939 by Generaloberst von Brauchitsch, for award to Officers and EM/NCOs of non-motorized Infantry and Mountain Infantry units. Criteria for the award varied, with the main qualification being participation in three separate Infantry assaults. As with most awards of the Third Reich period a miniature version lapel pin was permitted for wear on civilian clothing. : Roughly 16mm tall, die struck alloy, miniature version with a bronze wash. Pin features an embossed vertically oval oak-leaf wreath with a Wehrmacht style eagle with down-swept wings, superimposed to top, encompassing a rifle with fixed bayonet and sling. Reverse with vertical 50mm rifled pin intact slightly bent at the tip. Unmarked example. in good condition . Complete Museum documentation (COA) Provided.
