OUTSTANDINGย  Original WWII German Hitler Youth DJ FANFARE TRUMPET BANNER. (Trompete Fahne) Certified. The DJ, “Deutsche Jungvolk” (German Youth), originated in Vienna, Austria in 1929, and was eventually to become the young branch of the HJ; for boys from 10 to 14 years old. The Sig-rune first became associated with the DJ on November 9th 1929, the sixth anniversary of the failed Beer Hall Putsch, when the Gauleiter of Vienna presented them with their first official flag, consisting of a black field with a central, silver Sig-rune. The Sig-rune was afterward adopted as the official emblem of the DJ. An approximately 40cm x 42cm, double sided, multi-piece linen construction banner. Each side has a large, white Sig-rune stitched to its black background field. High quality Twisted silver bullion fringe runs along both sides and the bottom of the banner. Twoย  of the original three ties strings remains. Excellent condition (One small spot on the one ruin (see photos) used exampleย  Brought home by a U.S. Veteran.
