Original WWII German DRK HELPER’S ACTIVE SERVICE BROOCH. (Helferin Abzeichen) Red Cross Nurse Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. Roughly, 31mm diameter, nicely convexed, die struck alloy brooch with a silver wash and blue, white and red enameled finishes. The brooch features a blue enameled diamond shaped outer border with embossed silver washed  script, “Deutsches Rotes Kreuz Schwestern Helferin”, (German Red Cross Sister Helper), encompassing a white enameled diamond inner field with a central red enameled Greek style cross. The solid reverse is un-marked , Complete   with original pinback device.  Super rare version for “Sisters” (Catholic Nuns) Brought back by a U.S. Solider.
