Original WWII German CASED 8 X 24 POWER BINOCULARS. (Doppelfernrohr) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified.  The German army used a wide variety of optical enhancement items with the 6 x 30 power, (6 power magnification with a 30mm diameter objective lens), binoculars being the standard issue optics utilized by all branches of service. Tooled alloy construction, 6 x 30, power, (6 power magnification with a 30mm diameter objective lens), binoculars. The binoculars have molded, black bakelite eye sockets. Focus adjustment still function on both and the optics are clear with a few minor spots. The right lens has a horizontal, rectangle pattern with vertical bars emanating from the center, outward, to either side in increments of 10 degrees up to 40 degrees to each side.. The right hand side, ocular end, body panel is well marked with the impressed designation, “Dienstglas 8 x 24”, (Service Glasses), a serial number, “1175366” and “carl Zeiss Jenna”. Attached to the binoculars is their original neck strap. Comes with a private purchase case.
