Original WWII German Army (Heer) OFFICER’S DAGGER. (Heer Offizierdolch) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. This is a later wartime produced piece having type B generic style hilt mounts. The pommel features the twelve standing leaves which have good hand enhancing. The upper portion of the pommel just shows mild usage. The ferrule is in good condition. The generic B style eagle shows some mild oxidation to the body portion of the crossguard but the wings wreath and swastika still have the original plating. The reverse shows some patina but appears to have good silvering. The grip is a darker yellow color (almost orange) on the obverse and a slight crack on the reverse. The grip is in nice condition throughout being a solid celluloid type.

The scabbard also reflect matching patina. Very nice condition with  The throat is retained by two dome head screws. The unmarked blade is fine example having all of its grain needle like tip and appears to be in good condition. A few light spots on the blade. The original large size leather buffer is in place. A good U.S. Veteran bring back with a few minor condition issues, nice dagger which is priced accordingly.  Nice period used dagger   captured by a U.S. Veteran  and brought home as a war trophy.
