Original WWII German Army EM/NCO’S VISOR CAP EAGLE. (Schirmmützen Adler) Certified. Second pattern, die stamped zinc alloy, construction national eagle with outstretched wings, clutching a wreathed, canted swastika in its talons. The eagle has a roughly, 65mm wingspan and is slightly convexed to fit the contours of a cap. As is typical and expected with a zinc production examples it has pushed away most of its original silver wash and has reverted to the flat matte grey of the base alloy. We have a big collection that someone collected all the various maker marks. Most have all the prongs but some have 2 The recessed reverse of the eagle has at least one or Two of its original soldered attachment prongs intact. The eagle has various manufacturers markings .
