Original German NSDAP (NAZI PARTY) SA (BrownShirts) ‘GAUTAG AM WESTWALL’ DAY BADGE. Brought Home By A U.S. Soldier Certified. An approximately 4.5cm diameter, cast proto plastic badge in silver wash. The badge depicts a stylized political eagle above the West Wall fortifications. The embossed text reads, ‘Gautag Am Westwall Kaisers -Lautern 1939. Makers marked, ‘Werner Redo Saarlautern, Jentwurf.f.k. Franck Kaiserslautern. The badge has an RZM marking and M9/56. Working pinback.  lightly worn example; in overall good condition.
