SOLD
German NSDAP (NAZI PARTY) SA (Brown Shirts) Dagger RZM Marked Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. The blade is in fair condition. There are typical runner marks, and some spotting of graying. The original motto etching remains good. The reverse of the blade is crisply marked with a circular RZM logo and the manufacturer code M7/72, indicating manufacture by Gustav C. Spitzer of Solingen. The brown wood grip on this late period SA dagger is very nice, with an attractive and very evident wood gaining, especially on the reverse. The crossguards are silver plated and show significant wear and age. As is usually the case, some of the plating has flaked away, revealing the base metal. The wooden grip has shrunk slightly with time, causing some small, normal gaps where the crossguard and pommel fittings contact the wood. The original, German eagle and the enameled SA runic button roundel is now gone.ย A typical Veteran bringback that was not properly stored. We elected not to clean this up, the new owner could clean it. Nice period used SA Dagger captured by a U.S. Veteran ย and brought home as a war trophy. Fair used example showing the expected age and wear and improper storage wear. 100% Guaranteed to be authentic Brought home by a solider as a trophy of war. Complete museum documentation (COA) Provided. Certified by The Gettysburg Museum of History.
