Original German NSDAP (NAZI PARTY) SA (Brown Shirts) SA 1938 S.A. GRUPPE FRANKEN GROUP SPORTS COMPETITION BADGE. (Sport-Wettkämpfe Abzeichen) Certified. 42mm diameter, cast alloy badge which features the S.A. Sports badge to its center, being a vertical sword over a mobile swastika surrounded by an oak leaf wreath, with the image encircled by an inscription reading “Gruppe Franken – 1938 – Kampftage Der SA – ” (Group Franken – 1938 – Contest-day of-the SA – ). A horizontal pin-back device is crimped to its reverse, with “L. Chr. Lauer” and “Nürnberg-Berlin” embossed beneath it.  Scarce. Nice example showing the expected minor age and wear overall good   condition.  One of the classic desirable collector’s items   from the third Reich in used but in good but used condition.
