Original German NSDAP (NAZI PARTY) NSKOV 1934 1st War Casualties & Veterans Remembrance Day Badge Certified. The NSKOV, “National Sozialistische Kriegsopferversorung” (National Socialist War-disabled-support [Organization]), was formed in 1930 and institutionalized in 1933, as an associated society assisting NSDAP party members who had become disabled as a result of war injuries. NSKOV 1934 1st War Casualties & Veterans Remembrance Day Badge. It is constructed out of die stamped metal with a silver wash. The obverse depicts a veteran with oak leaves around his helmet, with a sword to the bottom right, which is wreathed and has a superimposed swastika just above the handle. To the sides reads “1. Kriegsopfer.U. Soldatentag Frankfurt A.M. 17.U.18.Nov.1934.”, and to the bottom left there is the designers initials. The hollow back reverse has a well working, vertically soldered on, tombak pin assembly. It measures 1 11/16 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches tall.   Nice example  U.S. Veteran bring-back .
