Original German NSDAP (NAZI PARTY) 1936 “GAU BAYRISCHEN-OSTMARK” MEETING BADGE. (Gautreffen Abzeichen Certified. A shield-shaped badge, 47mm tall, in what appears to be porcelain, to whose obverse is the profiled image of an eagle in flight, with a wreathed, mobile swastika in its talons. The border around this image, in gold, has embossed to it, “Gautreffen Der Bayrischen Ostmark 1936” (Provincial-meeting [of] The Bavarians [in] Austria 1936). A horizontal pin-back device is now missing from  its reverse, beneath which is embossed the manufacturer’s name, with an encircled lion above “L.H.S.” beneath that, and “Bavaria” to the base.  Scarce. Nice example showing the expected minor age and wear overall good  condition.  One of the classic desirable collector’s items   from the third Reich in used but in good but used condition.
