Original “Bormann” Formal Pattern Silver Tea Set Creamer Recovered By A U.S. Veteran At Schloss Klessheim. This tea service comes from Castle Klessheim. This castle was located over the border from Obersalzberg, looking over the border from Obersalzberg in Austria. Many of the dignitaries, that were waiting to see Hitler, were housed at Kleissheim, as it was not far from the Burghof. This castle was maintained as a government residence, and therefore, had its own silver pattern that was used for meal service. These pieces come directly from Kleissheim, and they bear the markings of the Welner firm, . These pieces are silver plate, and they are marked on the reverse. Some collectors and historians call these the “Bormann Pattern” since this type was also found at Martin Bormann’s house on the Obersalzberg. It is well known that Hitler drank tea and most likely used this very creamer himself when visiting. This creamer is the smaller version and is in excellent condition with no issues.
