Original WWII Deluxe Nazi German Multi-Piece Construction Political Leader Armband Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. A U.S. vet bring back in good condition. Some slight wear in used but good condition.  Deluxe version of the Nazi Political Leader Armband. The NSDAP had utilized the basic identifying swastika armbands as early as 1922 to be worn by party members at all rallies or political functions. Shortly afterwards, (circa 1923), Political Leader’s began wearing a new pattern armband with additional stripes that indicated functional positions within the party. In 1939 a second pattern of Political Leader’s armbands were introduced which denoted administrative or operational functions and level of government. The most recognizable pieces of insignia associated with the Nazi regime is the swastika armband. Utilized by pretty much by all the organization of the Third Reich in one form or another. The swastika, (a Sanskrit word meaning “well being”), is an ancient symbol that was utilized in numerous diverse cultures and signified both the cycle of life and the sun. The swastika was also a Nordic rune and the pagan Germanic symbol for Thor, God of Adventurers.  A high quality wool cloth materiel.  Nice quality, , multi-piece wool and rayon construction Ortsgruppe level, operational armband. Armband features a heavy red wool base with central, white, ribbed rayon circular field with canted, machine woven swastika to center. Both the white circular field and the swastika. Top and bottom of armband is bordered in light blue rayon  piping. The armband represents an  Ortsgruppe Politisches Leiter Anwärter. Nice original RZM tag. Shows the expected but very slight period use and wear but overall nice condition (ALMOST MINT) except a very small stain on the lower right side (see Photos) .  Gettysburg Museum Certified (COA) provided.
