Amazing Colossal Original Hand Carved Wooden Adolf Hitler Bust Certified. This is an amazing wood sculpture. It’s a 100% genuine Third Reich Adolf Hitler  in 1 and a half times life-size likeness. There were advanced woodworking schools within the HJ organization and some of the work turned out was artistically phenomenal. This particular rendering is excellent. Could this be the works of a Hitler Youth project or done by a seasoned word carver. It is unsigned  there is no maker mark or other identification marks. We have often noted that to capture the likeness of a personage in wood carving is considered much more difficult than painting it on canvas. Whoever created this sculpture certainly knew what he or she was doing. All the features that have come to be known of the Führer’s countenance are there. As with most carvings of the time, this one is made in oak as well. The bust from the bottom of the neck to the top of the head measures at a whooping 14 1/2 inches and from the back of the head to tip of the nose about 11 or 12 inches. The entire wooden sculpture is covered with a thick bronze glaze, which was common for larger wood sculptures of the time. We placed an SS Officer visor cap on the head to show just how big this is!! I think it might by two times life size but we said one and a half times life size to be safe. It appears as though the original base was at one time replaced with a well constructed wood base. This specimen is much more rare than a bronze bust. And the other wood carvings I have seen over the years of Hitler  does not  have nearly the detail or richness as this one. The details in the eyes definitely convey the evil spirit of the most hated man to ever exist. If you want a conversation piece, this is it! VERY HEAVY! A very nice looking artifact. very fine.
