Adolf Hitler’s Personal Formal Large Cloth Napkin “Liberated” From The Brown House/Fuhrerbau In Munich By A U.S. Solider Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. A very large heavy cotton blend cloth fancy napkin with inlaid pattern and Adolf Hitler’s personal eagle and AH monogram. This is the type used by Hitler for formal state dinners and entertaining diplomatic and personal guests. This napkin measures 25″/25″ with a 1.5″ eagle. It is in excellent condition with no tears or stains. This napkin was recovered in the Brown House in Munich but was more likely used in the Fuhrerbau next door. The Brown House was severally bombed in May 1945 but was in the basement that was still intact. This napkin along with several other items was “liberated” in May 1945 by U.S. Solider S/Sgt. John F. Schwender of the 1269 Engineer Battalion. A detailed account of the “liberation” of Hitler’s items is shown above written by both his wife and daughter. Also photos of him and his separation papers are pictured along with the Hitler silver hoard he mailed home.
