It was more than a quarter of century after the Battle of Gettysburg that Henry N. Minnigh, Captain of Company K, 1st Pennsylvania Reserves sat down at his desk to record for posterity a history of his unit in the great Civil War.   Known as “the Boys who fought at home.”   Company K had the distinction of being one of a few companies in the Army of Potomac recruited from Adams County, Pa to fight at Gettysburg.
