Original Large 12lb. Civil War Confederate Cannon Ball With Old Ink Tag Recovered From New Market, Virginia, The Classic Civil War Cannon Ball Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. A very nice Civil War relic 12lb cannon ball, this is the classic solid shot Civil War cannon ball. These have no powder and is completely safe (non-explosive). Found at The New Market battlefield. A very historic recovery location and a very nice looking cannon ball.   Recovered Pre-National Park and is 100% Legal and 100% authentic. It has a very visible thick seam (difficult to photograph) this indicates a Confederate cannon ball. There is a small dent indicating it was fired and hit something very hard! It has on old tag saying it is a Confederate cannon ball from New Market and a price of what looks like 50 0r 60 dollars (this tag is about 30 years old! It has some   very light pitting, in very good relic condition. Very clean for a relic!  Cannon balls this nice are very difficult to find and only come from old collections.
