Original Civil War Period Cap & Ball W. ASHTON UNDERHAMMER SINGLE SHOT PERCUSSION BOOT PISTOL Certified. Boot Pistol by W. Ashton (Wm Ashton of Middleton, Ct.) circa 1850. Overall length 8-1/2โ€. CONDITION: Gun is in excellent working condition. Clean sharp bore. Barrel has majority of its original brown finish. Stocks are good. Really nice boot pistol. Marked American made boot pistols are very scarce and Ashton was a well known maker at the time having supplied arms to the United States Government.
