Original Civil War Period Cap And Ball   .68 Caliber steel frame drop trigger Antique Pistol Certified. Civil War Period .68 caliber Cap And Ball   Pistol. In non-Working condition Civil War period model   pistol . There is no numbers so it is impossible to accurately date this one. It is a deluxe  version with checkered wood grips and engraved steel frame.  This gun’s spring is stuck and it does mot work and does not fire and cock. the grips are slightly worn but nice.  has some very mild surface pitting.   The gun   is about .68 caliber A REAL HAND CANNON! .   Many European weapons were exported to the US for sale before and during the Civil War. A classic Civil War period pistol and A choice functioning display gun.  A favorite of both Confederate and Union soldiers during the Civil War. Many Civil War soldiers carried private purchase “back up” weapons as illustrated in the photos. We placed .69 caliber and other bullets next to it (see photos) the .69 caliber mini ball does barely fit but is very tight so we estimate this at .68 caliber! This gun is 100% guaranteed to be authentic, and unaltered. A fantastic functioning display piece. Complete museum documentation (COA) provided. This is a pre-1898 antique gun so no federal registration is required. Although this is a non working gun we do not recommend firing antique guns.
