In Working condition Civil War period model pistol. There are no numbers, so it is impossible to accurately date this one. It is a standard version with plane wood grips and engraved steel frame.  This gun’s spring is tight, and it does work,  The grips are slightly worn but nice (one small chip on one side) see photos. The gun is about .44 caliber.  The grip has a VERY RARE OPENING FOR PERSCUSION CAPS! Many European weapons were exported to the US for sale before and during the Civil War. A classic Civil War period pistol and A choice semi-functioning display gun.  A favorite of both Confederate and Union soldiers during the Civil War.
