This little screw barrel pistol was built from about 1852 to 1858 and remains in very good condition with bright metal surfaces showing oxidation staining and scattered light pitting. frame and backstrap show simple line and dot engraving . The original walnut bag shaped grips show serial number as do frame and mainspring. Grips fit well and show wear. Barrel shows company name, serial number and “Cast Steel”. A very interesting pre civil was pistol with lots of eye appeal.ย ย This gun’s spring is tight andย it does work and does fire if you lift up on the hammer.
