Original Civil War Period Cap And Ball Allen and Wheelock .36 Caliber steel frame Antique Pistol Certified. Civil War Period .36 caliber Cap And Ball Pistol. In Working condition Civil War period model pistol . There is no numbers so it is impossible to accurately date this one but it does have a patent/model date of 1845. It is a standard version with plain wood grips and smooth steel frame. This gun’s spring is tight and it does work and does fire. the grips are slightly worn but nice. has some very mild surface pitting. The gun is about .36 caliber. (see photos). Many weapons like this were used during the Civil War. A classic Civil War period pistol and A choice functioning display gun. A favorite of both Confederate and Union soldiers during the Civil War.
