Original 1860’s-70’s Rim Fire .22 Caliber brass frame Antique Pistol Certified. Civil War Period .22 caliber muff-boot pistol In Workingย  condition. There is no numbers so it is impossible to accurately date this one. These were made in the 1860’s-70’s It is a standardย  version with plane wood grips and steel frame. ย  ย This gun’s spring does work and does fire and cock when the trigger is manually pushed forward while cocking. Good strong spring! ย  ย the grips are slightly worn but nice. ย  has some very mild surface pitting that was cleaned. ย  The gun ย  is about .22 caliber.ย  The barrel swings out to load it’s single shot. Many European weapons were exported to the US for sale before and during the Civil War. A classic Civil War period pistol and A choice functioning display gun.ย  A favorite of both Confederate and Union soldiers during the Civil War. Many Civil War soldiers carried private purchase โ€œback upโ€ weapons as illustrated in the photos. These were also a favorite in the American West, used by Gamblers and “Ladies” hence the name “Muff or Garter” pistol. Very small and concealable! This gun is 100% guaranteed to be authentic, and unaltered. A fantastic functioning display piece. Complete museum documentation (COA) provided.
