Original Civil War Period Cap And Ball .44 Caliber steel frame Double Barrel Antique Pistol Certified. Civil War Period .44 caliber Cap And Ball Pistol. In Non- Working condition with duel independent triggers Civil War period model pistol.  It is a standard version with wood grips and engraved steel frame.  This gun’s spring  works  and it does fire and cock on both of the two triggers and hammers. Good grips are slightly worn, but nice. The two barrels unscrew for easy opening and loading without a ramrod  The gun is about .44 caliber. Many European weapons were exported to the US for sale before and during the Civil War. A classic Civil War period pistol and A choice non functioning display gun. A favorite of both Confederate and Union soldiers during the Civil War. Many Civil War soldiers carried private purchase “back up” weapons as illustrated in the photos.
