Original German NSDAP (NAZI PARTY) 1938 D.A.F. FACTORY WORKER’S SPORTS COMPETITION BADGE. Sport-Wettkampf Abzeichen Certified. A 36mm diameter, silver-colored, cast bakelite “tinnie” whose obverse image is that of an athletic man in shorts and holding a ball, against the backdrop of a factory, with the D.A. F. logo of a mobile swastika within a fourteen-toothed cog to the left. A “1938” date may be seen between the figure and the swastika. Arching above the image is “Sportappell” (Sport-call), with “Der Betriebe” (To-the Industry) underneath. A vertical pin-back device is glued to the reverse, underneath of which is embossed an RZM logo and “M9/25,” for, corresponding to the inscription arching across the top and bottom, “Richard Sieper & Söhne Lüdenscheid.” One of the classic metal insignia from the third Reich in used condition.
