Original WWII German Luftwaffe (Airforce) M40 SINGLE DECAL HELMET. (Stahlhelm M40) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. Helmet has a  rough textured Luftwaffe grey paint with camo overpaint. Second pattern Luftwaffe eagle decal is also retained about 75%. All three liner retaining rivets are now gone. M31 tan leather liner is now gone, shell only (see photos) .  The reverse interior neck guard apron is lot number stamped, “37442” and the interior left side apron has stamped manufacturers code and size, “ET64”, indicating manufacture by  Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG Thale/Harz ,  size 64.  Nice  helmet shell. camo paint is still visible but is faded. Shows the expected age, wear and use.  In good but used condition . Gettysburg Museum Certified (COA) provided. 100% Guaranteed to be authentic brought home by a U.S. Veteran.
