Original German NSDAP (NAZI PARTY) DER DEUTSCHE HOF NUREMBERG FINE LINEN NAPKIN Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified.  Third Reich Linen Service items from the most famous hotel in Germany during the Hitler era – Der Deutsche Hof near the railway station in Nürnberg. Most people with an interest in the period are aware that in the early days of the Nazi Party the fanciest hotels in Nürnberg turned Hitler and the Nazis away when they came to the city for their Reichsparteitage or Nazi State Party Days. Hitler was grateful and after coming to power in Germany, he remembered Der Deutsche Hof and invariably stayed there during Reichs Party Days. Note that in the period advertisement directly below the hotel advertises itself as “das Haus des Führers in Nürnberg”! There are many photographs showing Hitler reviewing his paramilitary organizations from the front of the hotel.  service articles used in the dining room of Der Deutsche Hof were manufactured by the well-known manufacturing firms. Very much to Hitler’s liking, the  service pieces were plain, classic, heavy bordered, heavy weight linen bearing a logo of a  swastika in the center. The napkin  At one side we see, clearly marked, “Der Deutscher Hof”. There is also the  swastika indicated the hotel was owned by the Party.  It measures just about 22 inches square,  Shows the expected age, wear and use.  In good but used condition . It is VERY DIFFICULT TO PHOTOGRAPH but the letters and swastika are easier to see in person. It comes with an old note from the collectors who bought it from the Veteran but we believe the Veteran’s memory was fading because it says he was in the 43rd Division and they were in the Pacific Theater and it says it was from “The SS Barack’s at the Obersalzberg” and we know this Hotel was in Nuremberg. The Named Veteran on this note was more likely in the 45th Division who participated in the battle for Nuremberg.  Gettysburg Museum Certified (COA) provided. 100% Guaranteed to be authentic brought home by a U.S. Veteran.
