Nice Original Civil War Springfield Bayonet With Maker Marked Scabbard Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. Very nice example of the Model 1855 Bayonet for use with the 1855, 1861, and 1863 models.ย  Original mid-war example with eight rivet scabbard with brass finial attached. Has aย  inspector’s marking on the frog.ย  The bayonet is marked “US”ย  the ring moves as it should. Complete example that shows some flaking. The leather is pliable and has a small hole and a bend in the leather but no break. There is also a small hole in the belt loop. An excellent Civil War artifact at a reasonable price. This bayonet and scabbardย  is 100% guaranteed to be authentic, and unaltered . A fantasticย  display piece. Complete museum documentation (COA) provided.
