Original Nice Civil War Excavated Relic U.S. Breast  plate is is an older recovered breast plate. A very historic recovery location and a very nice looking plate.   Recovered at Leesburg, Virginia what was then off National Park property and is 100% Legal and 100% authentic. This Eagle Plate has a deep smooth chocolate brown patina. One of the two hooks is broken but it looks great, in excellent relic condition. This is one of the better early pick-up breast  plates from an old collection.  Breast plates this nice are very difficult to find and only come from old collections.
