Original Early German Hitler Youth Belt Buckle Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. Original Hitler Youth (Hitlerjungend) Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) , that was introduced in 1936. It is constructed out aof die-stamped, natural aluminum box buckle The obverse roundel depicts a closed winged HJ eagle clutching an HJ diamond within its talons on a pebbled round background. Above the eagle is the Hitler Youth motto reading: “Blut und Ehre” (Blood and Honor). This is then encircled by detailed lines which are enclosed by two twisted ropes and all lies on the smooth rectangular background. . The reverse shows a soldered on tombak catch and steel pin, post/sleeve and prongs assembly. It shows minor surface scratches and wear throughout. The details to the eagle, motto and roundel are excellent! It measures approximately 2 7/16 inch wide by 1 7/8 inches high.
