Original wood from the Gettysburg “Homestead Orphanage” The Bullet Contained Within this Display Was Found Near The Homestead Orphanage On Cemetery Hill, Gettysburg. General O.O. Howard Had His Headquarters At This Location During The Battle Of Gettysburg. This Building Later Became The Homestead Orphanage. The Children Of Sgt. Amos Humiston Along With Many Orphans Of The Civil War Lived In This Building. In The 1950’s This Building Became “The Charlie Weaver/Soldier’s Museum”. Pictured On The Front Of This Display Are The Children Of Sgt. Humiston. Their Photo Was Found In The Hand Of Sgt. Humiston Who Died During The Battle Of Gettysburg. Both The Wood And Bullet are 100% Authentic And Are Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. Matted and framed with a Riker frame. Mat color may vary.
