Original WWII German Army DRK PERSONNELS DUTY ARMBAND And Nurses I.D. . (Armelbinde) Certified. The DRK, “Deutsches Rotes Kreuz” (German Red Cross), a voluntary civil assistance organization originally instituted in 1864, was officially acknowledged by the Geneva Convention in 1929. In December 1937 it gained status as a legally recognized organization by the NSDAP. As with other essential services in Third Reich Germany, it came under control of the NSDAP in late 1938 under the auspices of the Ministry of the Interior’s Social Welfare Organization. A 10cm x 42cm, white rayon armband, upon which is machine woven a red Balkan cross. Also worn by Army and Military personal.  Comes with the Nurses original I.D. (Very Rare) ! The armband is in overall very good condition with light age and usage toning. Good condition with some wear and storage age expected issues.Complete museum documentation (COA) Provided. Certified by The Gettysburg Museum of History. Most of this type of material was destroyed during the de-Nazification process.
