OUTSTANDING Original WWII Waffen SS “Der Fuhrer” EM/NCO’S CUFFTITLE. (Ärmelstreiffen) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. In late 1939, the SS-Verfügungstruppe evolved into the Waffen-SS. Following this transition, the SS-V.T. Division (mot) was renamed SS-Division “Deutschland”. In 1942, the name was changed to the 2. SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment “Das Reich” to prevent it from being confused with the existing “Deutschland” regiment. The infantry division of the unit was composed of the 1. SS-Standarte “Deutschland”, the 2. SS-Standarte “Germania”, and the 3. SS-Standarte “Der Führer”. SS-Standarte 3/VT “Der Führer” was renamed the 4. SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment “Der Führer”. The personnel of this regiment wore an “SS3” collar patch and cuff title. This is a very early example circa 1937. The cuff title manufactured with silver woven Gothic script on black band, and with silver upper and lower edges.  The reverse bears a n RZM black silk manufacturer’s label. Length 48cm. THIS WAS CUFF OFF A UNIFORM BY A U.S. SOLIDER!  100% Guaranteed to be authentic Brought home by a U.S. solider as a trophy of war.
